At Treehouse Counseling and Consultation, LLC, we see clients of a variety of ages, including infants, children, teens, adults, and families as a whole. Our practice focuses on supporting developmental, emotional, and relational needs at each stage.

Play therapy is not the same as regular play. Regular play is often spontaneous, imaginative, and sought primarily for enjoyment. Play therapy is a therapeutic process facilitated by a trained professional through which children express thoughts and feelings they might not yet have the words for. In Play Therapy, children can process emotions, work through challenges, build coping skills, and practice problem-solving in a safe and supportive environment.
Walk and talk therapy offers the benefits of traditional therapy while moving outdoors. Walking can help reduce stress, improve focus, and encourage open conversation. The natural setting often makes it easier to process emotions, think creatively, and feel more relaxed, making sessions feel less formal and more engaging.
Your out-of-pocket costs depends largley on your insurance and the type of service you wish to receive. It is your responsibility to verify if your insurance covers a specific service and what you are expected to pay.
I do offer self-pay discounts for those who do not have insurance or are choosing not to use their insurance. The No Surprises Act of 2022 mandates that if you are self-paying for services, you are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) from your healthcare provider. Read more about the GFE here.
Some people choose not to use insurance for therapy to maintain privacy, avoid limitations on sessions or providers, and prevent insurance records from affecting future coverage.
Additionally, not all insurances cover all types of services.
Paying out-of-pocket can also offer more flexibility in scheduling, therapy type, and treatment length
